Our Anniversary dinner, a little late...like a year and a month

So, last night we finally got the 4 Casa Mandalay boys back at one dinner table. Casper and Sander of 'housemates in Maastricht' and 'witnesses at our BWG' fame and Husband and I reunited last night for a great meal at Dauphine in Amsterdam, just a few minutes walk from our apartment.

Not only is this one of the largest restaurants in the city, but they actually have one of the cutest waiters in town. You see, Sander works here...and Casper used to, but he's moved on to a suit-job now.

It was very fun and very good food. And that bottle of wine that we waited so long to drink was totally worth the wait. I think we'll be seeing much more of the boys now (they are actually our neighbors again)...this means less of our food and our tv remote.

I think Dauphine is where I had dinner with Arthur and his family. Was it an old car dealership? It totally reminded me of a Scottsdale restaurant (in a good way)!

Wow! I can't believe it's been one year plus a month since your ceremony or have I misunderstood? That happens so much these days! :) whatever it was you were celebrating it looks like you were having a grand time and that's what it's all about!

@TRexNashville - You probably did eat there with Arthur's family. It's really big. The food is average and slightly above average. The atmosphere is totally Scottsdale!

@queerskinhead_UK - Sorry...I'll explain. We got married April 4, 2007. Casper and Sander gave us a kist of wine for the wedding present with 3 bottles of wine. One to drink on our first anniversary, one for the 5th, and one for our 10th. We made plans to drink the first one together with them on our first anniversary, but due to busy schedules, etc. We only just now made it to dinner and had that bottle...a year and a month late. Kapish?

Ah! That makes better sense. I remembered seeing the photographs of the ceremony and I just knew it was more than a year. What a lovely gift!
